I am reluctant to share with you the sad news of Mr. Jamal Hussain's leaving Aitchison, but also wish him well in his new endeavours. We have formed a very close and happy partnership that has produced unparalleled admission success with Ivy Leagues and other top US universities and colleges in his seven years with us. His Harvard success stands out among many other remarkable multiple triumphs at Stanford, Princeton, Columbia, Brown, Dartmouth, Cornell, John Hopkins, and more. Over seven years, his quiet and intelligent efficiency has earned him a reputation second to none in his field of expertise. Jamal's devotion to knowing boys and identifying their strengths, advising them honestly and prudently, and demanding their very best efforts, enabled the College to achieve boarding placements hitherto unheard of in their quality and frequency. He changed the lives of many boys. For example, boarders from Kelly and Godley, on outreach programs, achieved admissions to Harvard, Princeton, Stanford and Dartmouth. This typifies Jamal's rightly earned reputation as the expert in his field. Again, this year another early entry and a further interview for Harvard. As an old Aitchisonian, Jamal brought with him the qualities of a gentleman and mentor to the young. He worked tirelessly with his staff, always calmly and supportively. He will leave an indelible and unique mark on the institution. On behalf of many people, thank you, Jamal. May the road ahead rise up to meet you. May the wind be always at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face.
