Principal's Letter for All Boarders Term 1 - 2020
Dear Parents,
Boarders were given an option to board or become a temporary day boy for Term 1 only. Those choosing temporary day boy status will not be charged a boarding fee. Temporary day boys will not be permitted entry to the boarding domain at any time. After Monday September 7, no changes to status will be accepted for the remainder of the term. Boys choosing to board will not be granted leave other than for medical emergencies or family crises. They may not return to boarding without a medical clearance and negative COVID test. This may require a 14 day absence from school. Throughout the term, but not in the first two weeks, we will later arrange visits at a safe, social distance. It is imperative that Aitchison boarding is free from community transmission of the COVID virus.
The return of boys to school is subject to further government approval.
