It is inevitable that some boys (almost exclusively day boys) will report or test positive from time to time. This is regardless of what cycle a school follows and this has proven true over the past year. What is important to note is how we react. We have not had cross infections at Aitchison because SOPs are followed. Today, a day boy in Prep was reported 'positive' and stayed at home. I thank the parents for such prompt action. Rapid diagnostic testing for the class was carried out in the morning, at school, and no other positive cases were detected. Everyone has an opinion on the virus, but I ask that parents place confidence in the College to handle matters thoroughly, objectively and well.
