All boarders may take leave from Friday, October 15 and return Tuesday, October 19 before 8pm. Boys whose parents are not attending the PTM may leave Thursday, October 14 after school or earlier if all commitments have been met. Boys from long distance or remote areas may take longer to return depending on available transport, but Heads of School should be notified of delays. This is an important break for everyone, but I ask that families follow strict routines to avoid infection. SOPs are as important at home and its surroundings as they are at school. Aitchison has done extraordinarily well in this regard and I thank parents for their cooperation. Please remain vigilant.Boys must return via the College hospital, as normal, and will be random tested before re entering boarding houses, if in the opinion of the doctor a boy is exhibiting symptoms or purely at random. The doctor may keep a boy overnight for PCR testing. Parents must monitor their sons' health before returning to school. If a boy has caught Covid or has been in close contact with someone who has Covid, please advise the college doctor or head of house. We must work together on this and keep our boarding open and safe.
