The main objectives of teaching riding are for boys to enjoy the unique experience of mastering a horse and doing something that is very challenging and rewarding. No school offers what Aitchison does and we have been doing it for over one-hundred years. If a junior rider, especially, is withdrawn by the Director of Riding, it is for reasons of safety and further development. It is not the 'end of the world' or an experience that cannot be absorbed for the better interests of the rider. Ideally, we want as many boys riding as possible. Boys who are 'withdrawn' during a riding test will be spoken to later. This is also part of learning resilience and never giving up.Parents are not permitted to question our instructors or interfere with their management of this sport. Indeed, this goes for all sports.
