In a disjointed year, I feel it is crucial to mention that I am very confident our boys with good attendance 'physical and online' will progress well and have the base from which to launch a very good 'assault' on Cambridge subjects in senior years. Pre C1 classes now take on the challenge of preparing for IGCSE styled expectations in Senior School. Prep and Junior boys have worked particularly well and key assessments look traditionally strong overall. While government restrictions on full attendance remain in place(proposed March 31), optional boarding remains on offer. However, as I mentioned in my Founders' Day address, Aitchison boarding had not a single COVID case and there were no cross-infections at school. I also mentioned that 90% of boys had returned and that attending school was in the best interests of boys.
