The Alumni Office at Aitchison College develops, promotes and manages programmes for our alumni to keep them connected with
the College. The office also coordinates with ACOBA and different College departments to generate maximum alumni engagement
and support. Alumni are encouraged to contribute for the betterment of their alma mater.
ALUMNUS IN FOCUS
Asim ljaz Khawaja
Country team and a member of House Hockey team. After leaving Aitchison College,
he received a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Mathematics with Computer Science
from MIT in 1995 and completed his PhD in Economics at Harvard University in 2001.
Inhis free time, he enjoys reading.
Mr. Asim Khawaja graduated from
Aitchison College in 1990. He currently
serves as Sumitomo-FASID Professor of
International Finance and Development
at Harvard Kennedy School and is the
Director of Center for International
Development (CID) at Harvard University.
At Aitchison, he was one of the most
prominent students, being not only the
Alamgir House Secretary 1988, Secretary
Co-curricular Society 1989, also held
responsible positions such as College
Prefect, President English Literary &
Debating Society, President College
Dramatics Club, Best Reciter and Best
Debater in 1990. Additionally he was a
multiple award holder: M. Tajuddin Gold
Medal, Churchill Medal, Dane Bhima Gold
Medal and Sami Gold Medalin1988, andin
1990 was awarded a Full College Blazer
for Academics & Co-curricular. During the
same year, he was also a member of the
College Football team, part of the Cross
