ACOBA ANNUAL DINNER 2019
ACOBA Annual Dinner was held in the evening of Thursday, March 2019 at the footsteps of the majestic Gore Block, Junior School.
Over 450 Aitchisonians and their families participated, making it a truly memorable evening. Gore Block magically lit up the evening
skies! Mr. Michael Thomson (Principal) joined the occasion along with other notable guests including Dr. Andrew Treharne (Vice
Principal), Mr. Khalid Noon (Bursar), Mrs. Amina Kamran (Headmistress Senior School), Mrs. Fatima Mubeen (Headmistress Junior
School), Mr. Shahid Mahmood (Director Sports), Raja Yasir Humayun (Minister Higher Education, Punjab), Syed Shaukat Hussain &
Mr. Arif Saeed (Members BOG), and other prominent Aitchisonians.
Mr. Shahjahan Ayub (President ACOBA) and Mr. Omer Qureshi (Gen. Sec. ACOBA) presented a summary of the past year and
highlighted ACOBA's achievements during the period. They acknowledged the tremendous support provided by the Principal and
the school to old boys and ACOBA activities. The past 10 months saw a very busy ACOBA calendar including a Big Batch Cricket
Tournament, the 2nd ACOBA - Aitchison Team Debating and Seven Sporting Competitions between ACOBA and Aitchison.
Another milestone achieved by ACOBA was the tremendous increase in membership which crossed 2500 strong! The dinner was a
most sumptuous affair and thoroughly enjoyed by all. It was followed up by a musical extravaganza by the talented and versatile Ali
Zafar who gave his heart out on the stage. We thank our dear Bhatti Sb. for covering the entire event with his meticulous
photography.
