Justice Umar Ata Bandial took oath as the 28th Chief Justice of Pakistan on 2nd February, 2022. He studied at Aitchison
College from 1964 to 1975, where he was the Rivaz Gold Medalist. He secured his B.A. (Economics) degree from Columbia
University, USA followed by a Law Tripos degree from Cambridge University, UK and qualified as Barrister-at-Law from
Lincoln's Inn, London. He has also served as the Chief Justice of the Lahore High Court.
Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah was appointed as Judge of the Lahore High Court in 2009 and served as the Chief Justice of
the said Court from June, 2016 to February, 2018. He attended Aitchison College from 1968-1980, and received his law
degree from the University of Cambridge. He is an accredited mediator from CEDR, London. He was elevated as Judge,
Supreme Court of Pakistan on 7th February, 2018, was a member of Global Constitutionalism (Yale University, 2020), and a
Member of the Rhodes Scholarship Committee for Pakistan (2019).
Justice MunibAkhtar graduated from Aitchison College in 1981. He was awarded the Jubilee Medal and later went to
Princeton University for his Bachelor's degree. MunibAkhtar has been a Judge of the Supreme Court of Pakistan since 8th
May 2018 and is in line to become the Chief Justice of Pakistan in November, 2027.
Justice Yahya Afridi has been a Judge of the Supreme Court of Pakistan since 28 June 2018. He graduated from Aitchison
College in 1982, was Head Boy and recipient of Umar Hayat Gold Medal. After being awarded a Commonwealth Scholarship,
Justice Afridi completed his LL.M. from Jesus College at the University of Cambridge. Having previously served as the 23rd
Chief justice of the Peshawar High Court, he also has the distinction of becoming the first Chief Justice of the High Court
from the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata) and is in line to become the Chief Justice of Pakistan in December, 2028.
