Principal's Letter October 29
Dear Parents,
I am writing to inform you about a deeply concerning incident that occurred yesterday morning during the junior school drop-off period.
An unfortunate altercation took place when a parent brandished a handgun and threatened the driver of a car that had accidentally come into contact with his child. Our security personnel and staff responded immediately, ensuring the safety of all students and adults present. The weapon was promptly confiscated by our security staff, and the situation was brought under control without further escalation. The child was taken to the doctor immediately and thankfully he only had a very minor scrape on the knee.
Please rest assured that the safety and well-being of our students, staff, and parents remain our highest priority. The College strictly does not allow the presence of any firearm/weapon on campus and a violation of this policy is considered an egregious offence. Therefore, the College is pursuing appropriate disciplinary measures in accordance with our policies.
We understand that news of this nature can be distressing. We kindly request all parents to exercise patience and composure during school drop-off and pick-up times. Our collective cooperation is essential in maintaining a secure and respectful environment for everyone.
Dr. S.M. Turab Hussain
Principal
