Subjeet: Option to Continue with Three Subjects at AS Level
Dear Parents,
After careful review and consultation with our Academic Counsellors, the College has decided to
allow boys in IT] the option to continue with three subjects instead of four at AS Level. This
decision follows observations that some boys are finding it difficult to cope with the academic
demands of four subjects.
‘The aim of this measure is to help students maintain a healthy balance between academic
performance, personal well-being, and co-curricular engagement, while ensuring they mect
university entrance requirements.
It is important to note, however, that some lcading universitics place valuc on the academic rigour
demonstrated by students who take four subjects at AS Level. Therefore, this decision should only
be made afier careful consideration and consultation with the Academic Counscllors, who will
provide individual guidance based on cach boy’s aptitude, performance, and university goals.
Boys are required to continue attending all four subject classes until a final decision is made. The
decision to drop a subject, if approved, will be finalised by December 1*, 2025.
We appreciate your cooperation and continued support in guiding your sons to make well-informed
academic choices.
