Prep School Students Explore the Art of Furniture at Kalamkaar On September 13, 2025, a study tour to the Kalamkaar Furniture Factory and Display Showroom provided fifty E2 students from the Prep School with an opportunity to explore the world of craftsmanship. Guided by the Prep School's Art & Design Department, the visit allowed students to immerse themselves in professional craftsmanship, encouraging them to observe, reflect, and think critically about designs and their making process. At the core of the tour was an engaging session with Mr Qais Rehman, a proud Aitchison alumnus and owner of Kalamkaar. Along with his team, he shared the story of furniture making, covering its materials, techniques, and artistry. The students explored the factory with curiosity, asked questions, and carefully documented their observations, gaining new insights to bring back to their classrooms.
