Funeral of Major (R) Geoffrey Douglas Langlands on Monday 7 January 2019: the Upper Junior, Prep and Senior Schools lined Tranquility Avenue, Green Drive, Principal's Lane and Pipal Avenue; before the procession, in which the casket was conveyed by horse and cart with dignitaries walking behind, the Principal and old boy Mueen Afzal delivered addresses; Muslim and Christian prayers were offered over a casket draped in the flags of England and Pakistan with his medals on top; the College horse guard saluted him to the Last Post at the Maratib Ali Gates on Mall Road and his body was taken for burial at Jail Road cemetery. Guests were asked to enter from the Monnoo Canal Gate by 11:00 am and to leave by the Junior School Gate on Mall Road.
