Inter-House Cricket Final
Cricket is a game full of great thrill and suspense. It develops discipline, duty and team spirit in the players. However, Cricket is a game of chance.
On September 13th, the Inter-House Cricket Final took place at the Cricket Ground at Aitchsion College. The match was between Alamgir house and Kelly house.
Alamgir won the toss on a very warm morning and smashed their way to an impressive 255 in the 25 overs. An outstanding 133 from Mian Gul Sikander and an elegant 65 from Rafay Ahmed was the backbone of the innings as the wayward Kelly bowling was put to the sword.
In reply to this daunting target Kelly House lost wickets at regular intervals, a powerful 33 by Usman Gondal being the only real resistance. Wickets from Bilal Ahmed, Usman Sohail and Miangul Sikander, (the clear Man of the Match) dismantled the Kelly line up earning them a well-deserved victory by 121 runs.
