Aitchison Introduces Carpooling Feature to Promote Environmentally Friendly Commuting
Aitchison College is pleased to announce the launch of a new Carpooling feature integrated into its Parents Portal. This initiative aims to reduce traffic congestion, lower carbon emissions, and contribute to a healthier environment by encouraging parents to share rides for school commutes. The new feature allows parents to connect with others in their area, coordinate pick-up and drop-off schedules, and share transportation responsibilities.
Introducing the Carpooling feature is a part of Aitchison College's ongoing commitment to sustainability and social responsibility. By making it easier for families to collaborate on school runs, the College hopes to reduce the number of cars on the road, which will help decrease smog levels and promote cleaner air for the community.
Parents can access the Carpooling feature directly from the Parents Portal, where they can search for nearby families and coordinate their carpooling plans. We encourage all families to participate in this initiative to contribute towards a greener and healthier future.

The Sage, Sagely Says
The teaching staff of Aitchison College felt blessed to have a meeting with Syed Babar Ali, OBE. He is an iconic philanthropist, industrialist and educationalist who remained the caretaker Finance Minister of Pakistan. The visionary entrepreneur, who envisioned Packages Limited, Milkpak Limited, Nestlé Pakistan, and many other successful businesses. The most senior Member of the Board of Governors, Aitchison College, who led the foundation of (LUMS) Lahore University of Management Sciences and was the first Pro-Chancellor. He also instituted many educational institutions, including Syed Babar Ali School of Education and Syed Babar Ali School of Science and Engineering named after him.

In addition to mere education, a teacher must focus on the character-building of his students. Teaching provides a lot of happiness to a teacher if he teaches with passion. Jealousy and backbiting are cankerworms, which are eating away the very nectar of our social set-up. We must teach our students to avoid such evils. His discourse had plenty to ponder over. Such pearls of wisdom are to be treasured forever.
