It is compulsory to play sport at Aitchison and we record the involvement of every boy, at various levels. Not all boys make sport a priority and this is acceptable. However, fitness and good health are core components of the College's educational program. Sport not only builds stamina but encourages skill development, friendships and personal confidence. Assembling a united school depends upon every boy playing his part. Prep and Senior boys have been allocated sporting days per year level from Monday to Thursday. These sessions are primarily for boys who are not affiliated with a College team or squads. If a boy cannot, for some reason, engage in sport on his scheduled day, he must attend a Saturday morning session to make up. Saturday is also reserved for boys who would prefer exercise and other stamina activities. The duration of these sessions is approximately 1.5 hours. The Games Master and Heads of House will keep lists of boys' participation. Boys who consistently miss or refuse to attend one of these weekly sessions will be asked to leave the College.
