Inauguration of the Dr. G.R Choudhry
U 14 Inter-School Hockey Tournament
Dear Parents,
Dear Parents,
I am delighted to announce the holding of an Inter-School Hockey Tournament in memory of the late Dr. Ghulam Rasul Chaudhry, former Principal (1970-78). Dr. G. R. Chaudhry was a member of the 1956 Pakistan Olympic team that competed in Melbourne, and won silver. In 1960, he captained the gold medal winning Pakistan team at the Rome Olympics. He did much to foster hockey and was responsible for attracting to the College several boys who would go on to repeat his remarkable feat. Matches will be played at the Mohammad Jafar Memorial Pitch from 11th to 14th October. Trophies will be presented to the two finalists and medals to standout players.
The Closing Ceremony on Friday, 14th October, 9:30 am – 10:30 am, at the Jafar Pavilion. This ceremony will commence with a gathering and speeches at 9:20 am, after which the final match will commence. Of course, you are welcome to attend any other day that fits your schedule.
Warm wishes,
Michael Thomson M.A., Dip. Ed., M.A.C.E
