Dear Parents,
Academic and Sports Days Arrangements & Amended Spring Break
This year, we will hold the above annual occasions earlier to avoid conflicting schedules with cricket, lengthen leave for boarders (which is important medically), and to enjoy more suitable weather. Accordingly, the Spring Break will commence for Prep and Senior on Thursday, March 4th for the majority of boys not competing on that particular Sports Day. For those competing on the Prep and Senior Sports Day, leave will be taken a day later from Friday, March 5th. Junior boys not participating on Junior Sports Day may take leave from Wednesday, March 3rd. Junior competitors will take leave from Thursday, March 4th. Spring Break ends Sunday, March 14th. Senior Mocks commence on March 15th as previously scheduled. The additional time is warranted for Seniors given the possibility that the May/June session may be cancelled. Please refer to the schedule below for more general details.
Owing to the pandemic these events may only be attended by the parents of boys receiving awards or participating in events or those serving on the Aitchison Board of Governors and ACOBA Executive who are official attendees. We simply have to limit numbers. As a special provision, we will invite H1 to join the H2 farewell in the Amphitheatre on Wednesday, March 3rd. In all instances of group gatherings strict SOPs will be in place. We are very sorry but all other entries are denied.
Heads of School will determine academic and sporting lists and invitations shortly.
