Debating Dominance: Aitchison College Clinches Broadwood Lyall Title
The Aitchison College Debating Society has done it again. They achieved a spectacular victory at the prestigious Broadwood Lyall Debating Championship. It was held online from August 7th to 9th, 2025. The tournament brought together some of the region's finest debating talent. Our students stole the show with their brilliant eloquence, passion, and determination.
The tournament, known for its competitiveness, witnessed Aitchison dominate the Preliminary Rounds, leading the overall scoreboard. This strong performance set the stage for an impressive run in the knockout stages, where Aitchison won every round by unanimous decision, marching into the finals.
In the Grand Final, which was the ultimate test, Aitchison faced an elite team consisting of members of the Pakistan National Debating Squad. In the battle of wit, logic, and articulacy, the Aitchison team secured a decisive victory, demonstrating their ability to succeed against the best.
This victory not only reinforces Aitchison College’s legacy as a powerhouse in competitive debating but also reflects the dedication, skill, and relentless preparation of our debaters, who once again have brought laurels to the College on a national platform. Congratulations to the members and teachers of the Aitchison Debating Society. You have made us proud.
