After the selection of the prefectori-
al body and the sports captains
from 2017-2018. Aitchison College
held a leadership camp to equip its
newly elected leaders with a vital
sense of leadership, the responsi-
bilities that their positions carry and
ways in which to handle different
situations. The camp was held
from the 14th to the 17th of August,
during the course of which a
number of leading professionals
lectured the young leaders on how
to be effective and efficient in
discharging their duties.
The students stayed at the Leslie
Jones Boarding House throughout
the 4 days of the camp. This
helped to inspire unity amongst the
prefectorial body and the sports
captains, allowing them to develop
a sense of understanding and
team spirit.
The lectures were delivered by var-
ious Alumni including Mr. Aamir
Ibrahim, CEO Mobilink, Mr. Moeed
Yusuf, Associate Vice President at
USIP’s Asia Center and Mr. Wasif
Waseem Ashraf, a leading HR con-
sultant. The sessions gave the
young leaders an insight into the
minds of people who have suc-
cessfully led teams in their respec-
tive fields. One of the guest speak-
ers was Syed Rafay Hassan, the
head boy of the College from the
previous year, who gave the pre-
fectorial body valuable tips on how
to handle pressure situations and
maintain discipline in the student
body.
The leadership camp was an
opportunity for the prefects and the
sports captains not just to learn
about the responsibilities that had
been bestowed upon them but also
to get to know each other and
become a well-knit unit. The camp
was organized through the efforts
of Madam Amina Kamran, Head-
mistress Senior School and the
Principal, Mr. Michael Thompson.
