ACOBA UPDATE
This year, the ACOBA internship initiative was launched to facilitate the senior school students. Shaukat
Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital & Research Centre and Shalamar Hospital provided excellent internships to
many pre-medical students during the summer. The pre-engineering students interned at companies like Atlas
Honda. There were numerous social work and community service internships that were offered by SOS
Children’s Villages, The Citizens Foundation (TCF) Schools and Fatima Memorial Hospital. It was heartening to
see many senior school students take advantage of these internships. ACOBA hopes to expand on this program
to offer more options and diverse opportunities to Aitchison students next year. We thank and are indebted to
the Principal Mr. Michael Thomson, Mr. KhalidNoon (Bursar) and Mrs. Amina Kamran (Headmistress Senior
School) for their whole-hearted support of ACOBA Internship Initiative 2017.

past three years by a group of young and active Aitchisonians is also positioned to go bigger this year with
ACOBA’s active cooperation. ACOBA Sports Committee will share details of the complete sports calendar, once
the schedule is finalized by the school’s Sports Department and Director Sports.
