The Alumni Office at Aitchison College develops, promotes and manages programmes for our alumni to keep them connected with
the College. The office also coordinates with ACOBA and different College departments to generate maximum alumni engagement
and support. Alumni are encouraged to contribute for the betterment of their alma mater.

Dr. Kamal Monnoo - Golden Donor

Dr. Kamal Monnoo, an old Aitchisonian, currently
represents the Czech Republic as its Honorary
Consul General and the English Speaking Union
as its President. Having done his schooling from
Aitchison College, Lahore, he holds a Doctorate
from the ISM-St. Johns, Masters from Yale and
Crummer and a Bachelors from Syracuse, A&S
and Maxwell, USA. Dr. Monnoo's two books, 'A
Study of WTO' and ‘Economic Management in
Pakistan’, have been widely received, both at
home and abroad. Over the course of his career
he also served in the financial sector by being on
the Boards of Allied Bank and the Central Bank,
as Chairman Special Olympics Pakistan -
Punjab, Member Board of the Punjab Education
Foundation and of the Institute of Public Policy,
represented Pakistan in the formation of the Boao Forum of Asia where he continues to be a
permanent representative and a founder member, Steering Committee Member of the Two
Punjabs Centre (Punjabs of Pakistan & India), served on the Board of Governors of the Islamabad
Policy Research Institute, Board of Trustees of the National College of Arts, Lahore, and was
awarded the President's National Economic Excellency Award in 1987. Dr. Monnoo attended
Aitchison from 1970-78, was a College Prefect, Chief Editor for the College Magazines, was
awarded the Principal's Academics Challenge Cup 1977, best leaving sportsman and student for
the year 1978 at the Godley House, Captained all racket sports: tennis, squash, table tennis and
badminton leading to a Blazer. In his own words: “The time spent at Aitchison provided the very
required foundation and strength to compete in the practical world in an ethical, compassionate
and responsible manner. It has indeed been an honour and a privilege to be part of such an
esteemed institution and | wish Aitchison, its faculty, all its employees, students and its alumni every
success going forward, IA.” We thank Dr. Monnoo for donating Monnoo Prep Boarding House
