To those affected, I am conscious of the added pressure this series may have placed on you and your family,
supporting your child's wellbeing through an already stressful time, and in some cases adjusting personal
plans around rescheduled exams. As a parent myself, I understand how much rides on exams.
As the largest provider of international qualifications for schools in the world, we have a great responsibility to
all of you. We are working hard to strengthen our security measures further for future exams: significantly
expanding our capacity to deliver them digitally, direct to assessment centres; opening a safe and
anonymous channel for anyone with information about stolen papers; and working with law enforcement and
government partners to pursue those responsible.
Separately, in some countries, some students were targeted by scams during this exam series. These
were fake "leaked" papers and misinformation designed to exploit anxiety at exam time. We will continue
strengthening our support to help students recognise and avoid this kind of misinformation online.
Cambridge schools can draw on our history, excellence, and breadth and depth of experience to
deliver a world-class education. When your child's exam results arrive, you can be reassured they
will properly reflect their effort, knowledge and performance, and continue to be accepted by universities, and
you can be sure that being a Cambridge student is helping your child become ready for the world.
Thank you for the trust your family continues to place in Cambridge.
Yours faithfully
Rod Smith
