Afternoon free. Deosai means the place of Giants. The main plateau is the part of Central
Karakoram National Park and is among the highest plateaus in the world with an average height of
4,114 meters above the sea level, covering an area of about 3,000 square kilometres. The park is
not only famous for wildlife but also about stunning scenic views of the snow-clad mountains
including the Killer Mountain(Nanga Parbat(8125m) and streams. The natural beauty and
impressive grandeur of the Deosai plains have made it world famous. The plains are home to
unique species of plant and animal life, of which the Himalayan Brown Bears are the most famous.
The Deosai Plains are also home to the Himalayan ibex, red fox, golden marmot, wolf, the Ladakh
urial, the snow leopard, and over 124 resident and migratory birds such as the golden eagle, the
lammergeyer vulture, the griffon vulture, the laggar falcon, the peregrine falcon, the kestrel, the
Indian sparrow hawk, and the snow cock to name a few.

DAY 09
THU. JUNE 27: SHYOSER LAKE – BURGEY VALLEY (13451FT/4100m/2 hrs. drive, 30km)
After breakfast drive towards Burgey Valley. En-route stop at Kala Pani & Bada Pani rivers, enjoy the
natural beauty of Deosai Plateau, photo stop at different places. Lunch at Bada Pani dinner & overnight
camping at bank of the Burgey River.
DAY 10
FRI. JUNE 28: BURGEY VALLEY – BURGEY PASS (15000FT/4700m) - SKARDU. (7-8 hrs. 12 km
trek) Early morning leave our camp for Burgey Pass, en-route occasionally we can see Deosai
brown bear near the Pass. We can also pass through two beautiful lakes before the steep walk of
the pass. After 4 - 5 hours walk we will reach on the top of Burgey Pass. If weather permits we can
have bird eye view of the famous mountain ranges of the Karakoram & Himalaya including K-2
(8611m), Nanga Parbat (8125m) and other high peaks. After picnic lunch on the top cross Burgey
Pass and decent towards Sadpara Village which will take another 3/4 hours from the top. Land
cruisers will be waiting at Sadpara Village from here another half hour drive to Skardu. Dinner &
overnight stay at Lavender Cottage/Summit Hotel Skardu.

DAY 11
SAT. JUNE 29: SKARDU – ISLAMABAD/LAHORE (1 hour flight) In the morning transfer to the
airport for flight to Islamabad. Upon arrival at Islamabad airport
continue our journey by coster to Lahore which takes 5 hours
from Islamabad. In case of non-availability of flight due to bad
weather travel by road.
