A message for candidates and their families from Cambridge International Education
We wrote to you recently to tell you that we had identified a question paper, for the June 2026 exam
series, which had been shared online against our regulations before the exam took place, and to
explain the actions we are taking.
When we identify that a paper, or content from a paper, has been shared before the exam takes
place our priority is to make sure that no candidate is advantaged, or disadvantaged, by the
malpractice of others.
It is very important that we protect the vast majority of our candidates who did not cheat. That is why
we are replacing the question paper that has been shared, so all students in all countries entered for
the affected exam will sit the replacement question paper. This means we can award every
candidate a fair and reliable grade that universities trust, and nobody gains a better grade through
cheating.
We are sending the replacement paper to exam centres, using a secure digital platform, for the
centre to download and print at the Key Time. To make sure the question paper cannot be accessed
by anyone in advance it will not be available to download before Key Time. This also means that all
centres have access to the paper at the same time.
Key Time is when all candidates taking the exam must be either in the exam or under Full Centre
Supervision.
We appreciate your support and understanding why this is a necessary and fair approach in these
circumstances.
What candidates should do on exam day
We understand that exam day can be stressful and this exam day may be a little different from
normal, but we need to ask for your continued support and cooperation with the exams officers and
invigilators who are implementing our additional security arrangements, including:
• you must arrive at the exam venue according to the instructions issued by your centre
• be prepared for an extended period of Full Centre Supervision as the processes for this exam
may take longer than usual because of the additional security measures
• comply with our regulations by ensuring there is no disruptive behaviour in the exam room
• follow the invigilator’s instructions
• follow supervision rules designed to keep the exams secure.
