PASSING OF LATE SYED MAHBOOB HASAN (AC '67)
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Syed Mahboob Hasan (Jubilee
House, 1967 'A' Level batch) on Tuesday, September 17, 2024.A distinguished alumnus and
renowned athlete, Mahboob left an enduring legacy in Aitchison College's athletic history. He set
the 200 meters record with a timing of 22.3 seconds in 1967, a feat that still stands today after 57
years. Additionally, he held three other sprinting records in the Annual Athletics Championship
(1967) and established the long jump record in the fixture against Lawrence College Ghora
Gali.Beyond his athletic prowess, Mahboob was an accomplished professional. He qualified as a
Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and
had a distinguished career in banking, working on various international assignments. He later
settled in California, USA.Mahboob's kindness and achievements will be deeply missed by the
Aitchison College community. We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family and loved ones.
May his soul rest indeternaldpeace.

House from the years 1981 to 2000. We would greatly appreciate any contributions that highlight the House’s activities, events, and
achievements during this period. Your contributions will be valued and preserved for future generations.
Kindly donate/share or give us copies of any archival material which has a relation to Aitchison College. This can be in the form of
physical artifacts, photographs, records, manuscripts, medals, cups, trophies, letters, documents, or any audio/visual material.
