ACOBA UPDATES
ACOBA ANNUAL DINNER
ACOBA Annual Dinner was held on 09-March, 2024 in front of the majestic Gore Block, Junior School. Over 700 Old Boys and families
enjoyed the festivities and the wonderful dinner arrangement. ACOBA generated contributions from National Defence Hospital (Mr. Rizwan
Aftab), Al-Qasim Gas (Mr. Usman Khan), Hunza Group (Mr. Faizan Ch.) and PEPSICO Rs. 0.5 Million (Mr. Saad Khan, Mr. Mohammad Khosa).
Efforts of Committee Members Mian Khalid Misbah, Mr., Ahsan Mannan and Old Boy Mr. Usman Khan were key in raising funds for the events.
Services of Dewan-e-Khas (Old Boy Mr. Faisal Waheed Sheikh) were also very important in making the event to be successful and
memorable.
Gore Block magically lit up the evening skies! Senior College staff including the then Principal Mr. Michael Thomson graced the occasion
along with Mr. Khalid Noon (Bursar), Mrs. Amina Kamran (Headmistress Senior School), Mrs. Fatima Mobeen (Headmistress Junior School),
Mr. Shahid Mahmood and other prominent Aitchisonians. Mr. Usman Haq (President ACOBA) and Mr. Omer Qureshi (General Secretary
ACOBA) presented a summary of the past year and highlighted ACOBA's achievements during the period. A major milestone achieved by
ACOBA was the tremendous increase in membership which crossed 4300 strong! The dinner was a most sumptuous affair and thoroughly
enjoyed by all. It was followed up by a musical extravaganza by the talented and versatile Ali Zafar who gave his heart out on the stage. We
thank our dear Bhatti Sb. for his excellent event photography.
ACOBA FUTSAL TOURNAMENT – 2024
ACOBA organized an incredible Futsal Tournament 2024 at Aitchison College on 13-14 September, 2024 at the Barry Block Grounds. Fierce
competition and truly inspiring sportsmanship were witnessed over the two-day event. Players displayed great skills with three teams each
participating from the College and ACOBA in the 7-a-side Football Tournament. ACOBA team led by erstwhile Old Boy Mr. Unser Zaman took
the win after an intense penalty shoot-out. A huge number of Old Boys and current students enjoyed the spectacular event.
