Ahmed Shujaan Gondal Scholarship
We are grateful to the Ahmed Shujaan Memorial Trust for
establishing the Ahmed Shujaan Gondal Scholarship in
memory of the former Head Boy and Rivaz medalist (2014),
Captain of Cricket, and Harvard graduate.
Ahmed Shujaan Gondal was a gifted young man. He
possessed a deep and abiding commitment to his school, and
carried an irrepressible intellectual spirit. He studied and
played in the classical sportsman-scholar mold, and yet he
was far more than this. His interests were wide-ranging from
cricket to politics to public service. Among his many natural
talents, Aitchison staff recall him as an exceptional public
speaker. As a student leader, he was revered; now forever
remembered most fondly and in highest admiration from
among his peer group.
The Ahmed Shujaan Gondal Scholarship will help a worthy boy of similar talents to complete his A Levels at Aitchison, by meeting
all tuition fees and examination charges for two years, provided the academic standards and sporting commitment upon which
the scholarship is based are, in the opinion of the Principal and Scholarship Panel, continually met. This generous scholarship
receives endorsement from the Harvard Pakistan Forum, a student society at Harvard University, chaired by undergraduates.
To qualify, a boy must perform at a level of general excellence in his O Levels/IGCSE and play a sport to a level equal to
participating in a College Ist squad. Applications will be directed to the Principal’s office. The College will shortlist candidates
who, subsequently, will be interviewed in collaboration with Ahmed Shujaan Memorial Trust, upon which a decision will be made.
Value of the Scholarship annual tuition fees.
We thank the Gondal family for their generous contribution towards the College in the memory for Gondal Shujaan.
