It is with deep sorrow that we share the passing of our esteemed colleague and dedicated staff
member, Nazir Ahmad, Headmaster, Campus Boys High School, who served Aitchison College
for 40 years with unwavering commitment and integrity.He was a valued part of our
community, known for his professionalism, kindness, and the positive spirit he brought to every
task. His contributions to the College and to Campus Boys High School will be remembered
with gratitude, and his absence will be profoundly felt by all who had the privilege to know and
work with him.We extend our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and pray for
strength and peace during this difficult time.
May his soul rest in eternal peace.
PASSING OF SIKANDAR KAMAL KHAN
Sikandar Kamal Khan, an alumnus of Aitchison College (1957-1968), achieved notable
milestones in his academic and extracurricular pursuits. He completed his Senior Cambridge
and F.Sc. during his time at the college. As an active participant in co-curricular activities, he
was involved in the Dramatics Society and excelled in swimming competitions, securing
second position in 1961. He also took up squash and tennis in 1963.He was a Kelly House
Prefect in 1966. His accomplishments showcase a well-rounded individual with diverse
interests and leadership skills.
Our heartfelt condolences go out to the family of the departed soul. May Allah grant him mercy
and peace, and may his soul rest in eternal peace. Ameen.
PASSING OF FAROOQ HAMID
Aitchison College mourns the loss of a distinguished alumnus and former Pakistan Test
cricketer Farooq Hamid, who passed away on Thursday, 3rd April, 2025 after a battle with
cancer, according to his family. Hamid graduated from Aitchison in 1962, he was the winner of
the Aitchison Challenge Cup in 1961, a proud Kelly-ite, and held athletic colours in 1960. Known
for his fast-medium bowling, he made a significant impact in domestic cricket, representing
Pakistan International Airlines and Lahore. His international career was brief but notable; he
played his only Test match for Pakistan in December 1964 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground,
where he claimed the wicket of Ian Chappell. Disheartened by political interference in the
sport, Hamid retired from cricket at the young age of 25.
