Boarding Handbook
Academic Year 2026-2027
Communication
Communication between the Housemaster/mistress, parents/ guardians and students is essential, and clear
guidelines ensure that all interactions remain respectful, timely, and purposeful. Students are expected to
approach the Housemaster or Assistant Housemaster for any personal, academic, medical, emotional, or
behavioural matters, reporting concerns immediately either directly to them or, when necessary, to the college
hospital or duty staff. They are also expected to maintain respect, clarity, and honesty in all communication.
For parents, the Housemaster/mistress serves as the primary point of contact for all boarding matters, and
communication must be made through official school email or phone during office hours, with emergencies
first reported by call and followed by written confirmation. Parents are encouraged to raise concerns
courteously and factually.
