Questions will be based on some or all of the following topics:
1. Pre-number
Compare objects by size, length, thickness, height, capacity, and weight
using words like bigger–smaller, longer–shorter, heavier–lighter, etc.
2. Whole
number
Recognise and write numbers up to 100
Order numbers from 1–50, and place them on a number line to show
addition and subtraction.
Understand place value (ones, tens, hundreds).
Add and subtract numbers up to 100.
Multiply single-digit numbers using multiplication tables (2–7) to solve
simple problems.
3. Shapes
Identify common shapes (circle, rectangle, square, triangle, oval), their sides
and corners.
Distinguish between open and closed shapes.
4. Fractions
Understand simple fractions for e.g.

4 (fourth), etc.
Identify fractions of shapes by shaded portion.
5. Time
Tell time, name days of the week, and recall months of the year.
6. Money
Recognise coins and notes (Rs 1–100); use them to buy and sell items with
correct amounts.
7. Graphs
Read and interpret picture graphs.
8. Patterns
Sort and classify objects by properties; order them by size or number;
identify, analyse, and recognise patterns in numbers or objects.
