2. Addition and

Add and subtract numbers up to 9999.
Use addition tables up to 9+9.
Perform vertical addition and subtraction (with and without
borrowing/carrying).
Understand the commutative property of addition.
Solve word problems involving addition and subtraction.
3. Multiplication
Multiply single-digit numbers
Multiply two numbers (one single digit and second three digits)
Apply multiplication tables (2–9).
Understand the commutative property of multiplication.
Solve simple multiplication problems.
4. Division
Understand division as equal sharing/distribution without
remainder.
Perform long division (divisors 2–9, dividend up to 999) with or
without remainder.
Recognise odd and even numbers up to 999.
Complete number sequences.
5. Shapes
Identify number of edges, corners, and boundaries of common
shapes (circle, rectangle, square, oval etc).
Recognise terms: locus, curve, open/closed curve, straight line, line
segment.
6. Fractions
Work with proper fractions (denominators up to 9).
Recognise fractions visually (12, 13, 14 etc.).
7. Time
Read and state time on the 24-hour clock.
Recall length of a day and number of days in a week.
8. Money
Identify currency notes and coins (up to 999).
Select and calculate correct amounts for buying and selling.
9. Calendar
State number of days in each month.
State the names of months.
10. Patterns
Sort and classify objects by different properties.
Order objects by size or number.
Identify, extend, and recognise patterns in numbers and objects.
