Dr Maryam Chughtai is a Harvard
educated
Pakistani
scholar
and
teacher.She
holds
a
doctorate
in
education from Harvard University,two
masters degrees in edcuation policy
from
Harvard
and
a
bachelor
of
arts,humanities and social sciences from
Rice
University.
However
after
completing her education from the
US,she also taught courses at Harvard
Graduate school of education as well as
The Harvard Law school. In 2015 she
returned to Pakistan and founded the
School of education at LUMS.She is also
now Associate Dean and a tenure
faculty member. She also played key
roles in education reform. She served as
Director of Pakistans first common core
national curriculum. She is reportedly
writing a book on the politics of identity
in Pakistans education system.

Dr. Omar Chughtai, a graduate from King
Edward Medical College with advanced
education in the field of pathology from
the University of Texas Houston is not
only the Director of Operations but also
part of the family ownership of Chughtai
Lab. Since returning to Pakistan in 2007,
he has overseen the lab’s expansion into
one of the country’s largest diagnostic
networks.

Chughtai labs is now Pakistan’s largest
diagnostic lab network.Originally in 1983
when it was founded by Proffesor Dr
Akhtar Sohail Chughtai as a clinic with
one pathologist and a few technicians it
was called “Lahore Labs”.Over four
decades
the
company
expanded
steadily all over Pakistan. It now has
more than half a dozen STAT labs and
over 160 branches across 50 cities. It
also has over 350 collection centers
nationwide. To this day leadership of
Chugtai
labs
remains
family

Chughtai is now Chariman/CEO and
oversees strategy while several other
family members including Dr Maryam
Chughtai are board members.
Services provided;
Chughtai Lab offers comprehensive
healthcare services, including at-home
diagnostics like blood and urine tests,
radiology, and nursing care, as well as
specialized

for
corporate
clients, and advanced services like
home MRI.They’re also well known for
community
service
projects.
For
example in 2015 they conducted over
125,000 dengue tests for free. Its home
and patient services include sample
collection for blood, urine, and other
tests, along with homecare support
such as injections, dressings, physical
therapy, ambulance services and even
specialized
care
ranging
from
life
assistance
to
ICU-level
care.
For
patients unable to visit centers Chughtai
labs also provides radiology at home
including portable X-rays and even MRI
