8.2.2 Use of Arrays
Concept of 1D and 2D arrays
Let's say the question wants you to input the marks of 2 students

DECLARE StudentName : ARRAY[1:30] OF STRING
StudentName[19] ← "John Doe"
DECLARE <identifier> : ARRAY[<l>:<u>] OF <data type>
● 1D arrays are used to store a list of data values of the same type.
● Each element is accessed using one index
● <l> is the lower bound, <u> is the upper bound.
● Arrays make it easier to handle many variables of the same type.

DECLARE MarkA, MarkB : INTEGER
OUTPUT "Enter marks of student A"
INPUT MarkA
OUTPUT "Enter marks of student B"
INPUT MarkB
Now 20 students – that's a lot harder to handle isn't it? Instead of making 20 different
variables, let's use a 1D array instead!

DECLARE StudentMarks : ARRAY[1:20] OF INTEGER
FOR StudentNo ← 1 TO 20
OUTPUT "Enter marks of student no. ", StudentNo
INPUT StudentMarks[StudentNo]
NEXT StudentNo
