AC Chronicles
The cacophony of blaring horns, revving engines, and weaving
motorcycles did not faze him. He had grown used to it. His only
true companion on these long, lonely drives was the hum of the
engine beneath him. His shirt clung to his back, damp with sweat, as
he gazed at the sea of impatient vehicles around him, each driver
preoccupied with their own journey, each car chasing its own
destination. With a sigh, he steeled himself for the grueling, day-
long drive home.
As the traffic light flickered green, the familiar symphony of engines
and horns erupted. Amidst the rush of vehicles, a father maneuvered
his motorbike through the narrow spaces between cars and buses.
Seated behind him were his four sons, clinging tightly to one
another as they swayed with each bump in the road. The eldest held
a book, his eyes scanning its pages, perhaps cramming for a test later
that day. The younger ones huddled together, their small hands
gripping their father’s shirt for balance. Despite the relentless traffic,
the father delivered his children safely to school before merging back
into the flow, rushing toward his own obligations.
In the rush of our own lives, we rarely notice these people. They
blur into the background, mere figures in the daily grind. Yet, each
of them carries a story, a purpose, a life as rich and complex as our
own. And though they may go unnoticed, their struggles, their
resilience, and their quiet perseverance shape the pulse of the city.
