b)This surah reinforces belief in ʿIsa’s prophethood and clarifies that miracles occur only
through God’s will. It reminds Muslims that while humans can achieve great things, such as
scientific discoveries or space exploration, these achievements too are possible only “by God’s
permission.”Muslims are thus encouraged to rely on God for success in all pursuits and to
recognise His power behind every achievement. It strengthens belief in all prophets, one of the
core articles of faith in Islam. The passage also inspires gratitude and humility — encouraging
Muslims to remember God in prayer, charity, and good deeds, and to view miracles and
blessings as signs of His mercy. It fosters love and respect for all prophets while affirming
Islam’s emphasis on God’s unity and supreme will.
phrase, repeated frequently, underscores that all power belongs to God alone, and prophets act
only through His will. God granted ʿĪsā wisdom, the Law, and the Gospel, and protected him
from his enemies by raising him to the heavens alive. The rejection and opposition he faced
show that prophets are often resisted, yet remain under divine protection.
