2 (a) Write about the experiences of two prophets you have studied in the Qur’an
(not including the Prophet Muhammad). [10]
2(b) ‘Undergoing hardships brings a person closer to God.’ Agree or disagree with
this statement, giving reasons for your answer. [4]
●Learning about Allah helps Muslims understand their faith better and see how everything in
the world connects to Him.
● Since Allah is beyond human understanding, the Qur’an helps us know Him through how He
describes Himself.
● Knowing who Allah is gives real meaning to worship — once we understand His power and
mercy, we want to worship Him sincerely.
● It also helps us see our relationship with Allah more clearly, knowing that even though He is
far above us, He is still close and caring toward us.
2(b) In your opinion, why should Muslims try to understand God’s attributes? Give
reason(s) for your answer. [4]
●All prophets were tested by Allah, and these tests brought them closer to Him.
●Likewise, believers can strengthen their relationship with Allah by showing patience during
hardships.
●Trials in life are a way for Allah to test faith, sincerity, and trust in Him.
●Remaining patient, steadfast, and continuing worship earns reward and spiritual growth.
●Just as the prophets remained firm in faith during trials, Muslims should also remain steadfast
and trust Allah’s wisdom.
