God’s favours, to establish prayer regularly, and to show perseverance in the face of challenges.
It also reinforces the idea that real success lies in the Hereafter, and that justice is ultimately in
God’s hands. Finally, it instructs Muslims to love, respect, and obey the Prophet ﷺ, as this
love is a means of drawing closer to God. The surah fills believers with hope and strength,
assuring them that faith, patience, and loyalty to God will always lead to victory and divine
reward.
This passage invites reflection upon the natural world as evidence of Allah’s greatness, wisdom,
and power. The sun, moon, night, and day are all creations of Allah that follow His command
These verses emphasize the unity, perfection, and independence of Allah as the sole Creator and
Sustainer of everything. Allah creates without any partner or assistance, showing that both the
plan and process of creation exist solely by His command. The Qur’an rejects all human-like
qualities attributed to Allah, such as having offspring or a spouse, for He is far above such needs
and limitations. Human eyes cannot perceive Him, yet His knowledge and awareness
encompass all things. Nothing can remain hidden from Him, as He fully knows what is in the
heavens and the earth. His presence can be recognized not through physical sight but through
His creative power and control over every aspect of existence. These verses guide believers to
acknowledge His absolute transcendence and to worship Him alone.
This verse, known as Ayat al-Kursi, presents a powerful description of Allah’s Oneness and
absolute authority. It declares that Allah alone is the Living, Self-Subsisting, and Eternal Being
who depends on no one, while all depend on Him. He is free from weakness, fatigue, or sleep,
symbolizing His perfect knowledge and control over the entire universe. Everything belongs to
Him, and no one can intercede without His permission. His Kursi, or Throne, represents His
supreme power and dominion over the heavens and the earth, and maintaining this vast
creation causes Him no effort. The verse beautifully affirms that Allah’s knowledge encompasses
all things, His existence is limitless, and His attributes are beyond human understanding —
reminding believers to place their trust and protection solely in Him.
