Allah’s might and compassion — while He controls everything, He is also infinitely forgiving and
merciful toward His creation.
b)These verses teach Muslims humility and dependence on Allah’s mercy. Understanding that
even the heavens and angels stand in awe of Him helps believers avoid arrogance and pride. The
example of angels — who constantly glorify Allah and seek forgiveness for others — inspires
Muslims to lead lives of obedience, prayer, and gratitude. These verses also remind believers
never to despair of Allah’s mercy. No matter how great their mistakes, Allah’s door of
forgiveness remains open to those who repent sincerely. This awareness encourages Muslims to
turn to Allah during hardship, trust in His plan, and mirror His mercy by forgiving others and
showing kindness in their daily lives.
a)This short yet powerful Surah captures the essence of Tawhid — the absolute Oneness of
Allah. Its very name, Al-Ikhlas (Purity of Faith), reflects its purpose: to affirm pure and
undivided belief in Allah. The opening verse, “Say: He is Allah, the One and Only,” declares His
uniqueness and independence. The word Ahad (One) emphasizes that He alone has always
existed and will always remain, without any equal or partner. The term As-Samad means that
Allah is completely self-sufficient and independent, while all creation is dependent on Him. He
neither begets nor is begotten, and there is nothing and no one comparable to Him. This Surah,
therefore, rejects every false belief about Allah, affirming His transcendence beyond time, space,
and human likeness.
