Past Paper Questions:
The Prophet (P.B.U.H) also said:
“I am the seal of prophets and there will be no prophet after me.”
“We have, without doubt, revealed the reminder and We will guard it (from
corruption).” (Al-Hijr 15:9)
“We did not send any messenger but to be obeyed in accordance to God’s will.”
(4:64)
“And We make no distinction between one and other of His messengers.” (2:285)
Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) is the final messenger and the last in the prophetic
chain, known as the “Seal of the Prophets.”
The Qur’an says:
Isa (A.S) cured the blind and raised the dead in a society advanced in medicine.
Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) received the Qur’an, a linguistic and literary miracle
suited to the eloquent Arabs. Previous miracles were temporary, whereas the Qur’an is
immortal and universal. All messengers were to be obeyed, as the Qur’an states:
Prophethood began with Hazrat Adam. According to a Hadith, approximately
124,000 prophets were sent throughout history. The Qur’an specifically mentions
25 prophets by name. Notable prophets include Ibrahim (given the Suhuf), Musa
(Torah), Daud (Zabur), Isa (Injil), and Muhammad (P.B.U.H) with the Qur’an.
Muslims believe all prophets were morally perfect individuals who were honest,
upright, truthful and did not add, remove, or alter Allah’s revelations.
All prophets must be respected equally without distinction because they were divinely
appointed for the same purpose.
The Qur’an states:
“Muhammad is not the father of any of your men but the Messenger of Allah and the
seal of prophets.” (33:40)
4(a) Give an account of Muslim belief in prophets and the messages they
preached. [10] (O/N 2013)
4 (a) Belief in all the prophets is one of the articles of faith in Islam. Write about
this Muslim belief in detail [10] (O/N 2016)
4(a) God revealed books to some of His prophets. Write about Muslim belief in
prophets and the books revealed to them. [10] (M/J 2025)
His message was the same as earlier prophets but universal and eternal, meant for all
humans and all times. Allah Himself has guaranteed its protection from corruption.
