Past Paper Questions;
The deeds will be weighed on scales. Those who performed righteous deeds will
receive their record in their right hand, while those who committed evil will
receive it in their left.
The Holy Quran Says about this:
The bridge called As-Sirat will be placed over Hell, and the Prophet Muhammad
(PBUH) will be the first to cross it along with his followers.
Those who succeed in this final judgment will enter Paradise.
Allah says:
4(a) What do Muslims believe about the Day of Resurrection and Judgment?
[10] (M/J 2015)
4(a) Write in detail about Muslim belief in Life after Death and the Day of
Judgement. [10] (M/J 2018)
“Then he whose scales are heavy will be in a state of bliss, but he whose scales are
light will have a bottomless pit as his dwelling.” (Al-Qari’ah 101:9-10)
“But he who is given his record in his left hand will say, ‘I wish my record had not
been given to me.’” (69:25)
“Those who are given their record in their right hand will read it with joy.” (17:71)
Humanity will then be brought before Allah with their record of deeds, which will be
examined with complete justice.
Allah says:
“You were lifeless, and He gave you life; then He will cause you to die, then He will
bring you back to life again.” (2:28)
“And the Book (of deeds) will be placed, and you will see the sinners in fear of what
is recorded in it.” (Al-Kahf 18:49)
The Qur’an and Hadith describe Paradise and Hell using familiar worldly
comparisons to help human understanding. These descriptions ensure that believers
can grasp the extreme pleasure of Paradise and the severe punishment of Hell,
motivating them to act righteously in this life.
A completely renewed world with a new sky will appear. Every person who ever lived
will be brought back to life; this gathering is called Hashr.
